Life Lately

I have had such a busy summer and it's so crazy to think that school starts two weeks from today. With such the hectic schedule, I wanted to check in on what's happening with me. I love reading 'Life Lately' post, so I'm pretty excited to be writing my first.

As you know, I've been interning at a local gift boutique for the past four weeks. I did receive my first ever pay check yesterday, and I have made it an initiative to start saving my money rather than spending it. Unfortunately, yesterday was also my last day as an intern. It was such an ah-mazing experience and I can't wait to share more with you next week. Today is actually the first day of tennis season. It's a week long process of tryouts, so fingers crossed I make the team. I've been playing as much as I can these past few weeks so I'm really hoping it pays off. As I will be out in the heat these next couple of days, I've been trying to hydrate as much as I can. To help motivate me, I've been squeezing lemon into my water. I know this has been the trick in the book for quite some time, but it seriously helps.

This time next week, we will be sending my oldest brother off to college. It is honestly surreal to think that he is officially going to be a college freshman. I can't believe that three months ago, graduating high school was the big deal, but now he is actually going to college... someone pinch me. My family and I will be making the 12 hour car ride to Tuscaloosa next week to help move him in and yes, tears will be shed. Speaking of the 12 hour car ride, I hope to spend that time finishing up my summer reading {& to do a bit of blogging}. It's required of me to read 3 books over the summer, and with the thought of taking 3 AP classes this year, I'm kind of freaking out. I don't really have anything planned the rest of the summer besides getting ready for back school and of course, taking advantage of sleeping in.

Thanks for letting me check in on my life lately! What's been up with yours?
