For two weeks now, North Carolina has seen nothing but rain. Hurricane Joaquin definitely left its mark this past weekend with so much flooding that schools were closed Monday, which I will say was quite a blessing. Although the rain is "convenient" for school closing, I am seriously starting to miss the sun so much that I forget what it looks like, feels like, etc. In the midst of all this gloomy and rainy weather, I have relied on my utility jacket to keep me sane. It's the perfect layer for these cooler days, and comes with a handy-dandy built in hood, which I probably couldn't have survived without this past weekend. I definitely recommend investing in a utility jacket because it's super easy to throw on whenever you need that extra layer, especially during fall.
