Spring Sweat Sesh

Cheer season is officially over and I am so excited to have the upcoming spring season off. In retrospect, I am glad that I did a winter sport, but the commitment was a little overwhelming at times. I found it difficult to balance along with my schedule as everything I did revolved around either practice or games. I'm looking forward to being on my own time this spring and setting into a relaxing routine. While not committing to a sport is refreshing, I do plan to stick a solid workout schedule. Staying in shape is so important and not to mention, exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy! ;) I've a established a little sweat sesh schedule for the coming months and I'm so excited to get started.

+ go to the gym
I plan to visit the gym at least three times a week. A quick 30 minutes of cardio along with some core exercises is the ideal sweat sesh for me. However, I hope to diversify my workout routine to assure my body doesn't adapt to certain exercises, not being offered as much of a challenge.

+ become involved with yoga
For so long I've wanted to start yoga, and this spring, I've finally decided to take the plunge. My friend and I are hoping to join a local studio and attend classes on a weekly basis. I've only heard great things about yoga and all the benefits it has for the body and mind.

+ attend spinning classes
In years past, I've sporadically challenged myself to do cycling classes. Despite it being one of the most grueling workouts, I have to admit I felt so amazing afterwards. I hope to attend more classes this season and possibly get a group of my girlfriends together to go with me.

+ get outside
With the weather warming up in the next few months, I hope to take advantage of working out outside. Instead of running the treadmill, I would be up for running along the beach or around the neighborhood. Being outside with a little vitamin C gives me just the burt of energy I need to keep up the pace.

Do you have a workout routine? Any suggestions?
