My Favorite Snacks

We all know that feeling. A little hunger and energy slump strikes between lunch and dinner and sometimes an afternoon pick-me-up is just what's needed to satisfy. When I get home from school, I'll peruse through the pantry for anything to munch on while I work. A refueling snack replenishes my energy and I opt for healthier options that keep me full, focused, and fulfilled till dinner. Find my favorites below!

+ Trade Joe's Sea Salt & Turbinado Sugar Dark Chocolate Almonds
Best. Thing. Ever. These are hands down my absolute favorite and I savor each and every one. I'm such an avid dark chocolate lover and when my favorite nut is added to the equation, I am seriously in heaven. A handful of these is the perfect mix of salty and sweet and oh so satisfying.

+ Banana
Bananas never get enough credit. High in fiber and potassium, this fruit is said to be the perfect snack to refuel. They keep your hunger pains tamed and provide essential nutrients all while doing so. I love to slice one up and add a little almond butter for extra protein.

+Granola Clusters
I love granola, whether it be atop yogurt for breakfast, with a bowl of milk, or by the handful for a healthy snack. I am always trying a different variety and clusters have been my new craving. The pieces are generally bigger than old fashion granola and I find I fill up quickly after a few.

+ Energy Bar
Energy bars are a great source of energy (go figure!). My favorites are Fig Bars and Cliff Bars because they are both fiber heavy and Cliff Bars especially are packed with plenty of protein. These are both also great snack options before a workout and I sometimes have one in between breakfast and lunch.

What are your favorite snacks?
