My Favorite Hair Products

More recently, I've been cognizant of how I take care of my hair. I've been trying to grow it out since the beginning of the year, and have really been motivated to keep it as healthy as I can to ensure beautiful long locks (hopefully!). I take a biotin tablet everyday as well as monthly trims, but I also rely on several products that I've realized I probably couldn't live without. Here are my favorites:

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner
My hair doesn't react well to shampoos and conditioners heavy with fragrance- talk about grease! I try to wash my hair every other day to make sure I don't strip it of its essential oils and eventually dry it out. As recommended by my dermatologists, I use Paul Mitchell's tea tree products to keep my scalp clean and free of built up residue. My hair feels so light and nourished after every wash, and I highly recommend to those who have psoriasis like me!

Marrakesh Oil
I received this in my FabFitFun box and immediately became obsessed with it. I use it when my hair is both dry and wet, either before I style it or want to refresh it with a boost of volume. It is made with both Argan and Hemp Seed oil and it seriously smells so amazing. I only evenly disperse a small amount through my ends and my hair feel super silky and smooth.

Coconut Oil
After hearing the endless benefits of coconut oil for your hair, I kind of jumped on the bandwagon. I was super hesitant at first, but let me tell you, it is a life-changer! I've only been using it for two weeks now, applying it through my scalp and ends once a week, and my hair has never looked or felt better. It's really so nourishing, but if you have thin hair like me, using only a small amount is plenty (I lathered my ends a bit to much my first time and ended up showering three times to get all the oil out #oops).

Emi Jay Hairties
I've been an Emi Jay fan for as long as I could remember. They've become increasing popular over the years and I've always been an avid supporter and wearer. I used to hate getting those annoying big creases in my hair from normal hair ties, but being that Emi Jays are made from a signature elastic, I never have that problem. They also come in a variety of colors and patterns, so are actually super cute just to have around your wrist at all times.

Dry Bar Lemon Drop Hair Brush
My mama and I always pay a visit to Dry Bar when visiting bigger cities and are in desperate need of a blow out. Aside from their great services, their products are just as top notch. I use their signature "lemon drop" brush on a daily basis and it's great for detangling or when my hair needs a little pick-me-up. It's perfect on the go too and I usually just throw it in my purse for whenever I need it.

It's a 10 Leave-In
I seriously swear by this stuff. I've been using it since who knows when, but all I can say is that it's amazing. I spray it through out my hair before I blow dry and afterwards, it feels fuller and actually retains its straightness. It's made with keratin so replaces the lost proteins found in your hair while protecting against heat and restoring its hydration balance.
